The eLearning Value Management for Project Managers Foundation Course is tailored specifically to Project Management professionals wishing to utilise Value Management in order to maximise the performance and effectiveness of projects. In addition, the course forms the first part of the Institute of Value Managements requirements for becoming a Professional in Value Management (PVM). Learning objectives are as follows:

Whole Life Costing Course
The Whole Life Costing Course is offered in partnership with the Society of Construction & Quantity Surveyors (SCQS) and Axoss Ltd. The course is tailored for those needing an introduction to the principles of whole life costing. The 10 part programme is carefully compiled for easy learning with questions and answers at appropriate stages. At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Define whole life costing.
- Understand the principle of present value.
- Understand the principles of discounting.
- Understand the importance of the study period and the time zero base date for the whole life cost calculation.
- Structure the problem and manually construct a simple option appraisal model.
- Structure the problem and construct a comprehensive and complex option appraisal model using the SCQS online Whole Life Costing Service.
- Appreciate the sources of data for whole life costing.
- Be able to conduct sensitivity analyses.
- Be able to use the measures of economic performance in option appraisal.
